Spend With Us supports rural and regional small businesses that find it hard to compete due to location, size, technology, and other adversities.

Three ladies with rural connections who wanted to make a difference created this platform. We are constantly thinking about you and your small rural or regional business when spending countless hours labouring over the features and functionality of the website and establishing social media, marketing and PR strategies to get this platform into every household in Australia.

We care deeply about the welfare of fellow Australian’s. Through natural disasters and pandemics, we want this to be the place that can keep your business going. Get your OWN ONLINE STORE with access to PayPal, Credit Card and Buy Now Pay Later payment processing at checkout.  No need to sign up for any extra payment providers – we have done that for you!  You only need a PayPal account to get paid from your sales.

No commission fees on our Flood Support Plan or Bushfire Support Plan *

As a member of Spend With Us, we charge a minimal payment processing fee to cover the cost of fees charged by PayPal, Credit Card or our Buy Now Pay Later payment provider depending on the payment method chosen for your order by the customer. The payout amounts you receive from a sale will be less the amount charged by the PayPal payment gateway, at 2.6% per order or 5% per order for any Buy Now Pay Later orders.

* PLEASE NOTE: Spend With Us – Buy From a Bush Business Marketplace charges NO transaction fees on our Flood Support plan or Bushfire Support plan only (except for products listed in the Alcoholic Beverages category and subcategories which have a 10% transaction fee applied regardless of membership plan). VIP members have an 8% transaction fee on orders and Essential Plan members have a 10% transaction fee on orders. Sales achieved for businesses on The Essentials Plan have a 10% transaction fee on all orders.

Sales achieved on the VIP plan will incur an 8% transaction fee per order.

Transaction and Payment Processing fees are calculated on the total order amount paid by a customer. This includes shipping and handling charges.

Fast, secure and easy payments

Payouts for the sale of your products can occur at your convenience. As soon as you receive notification of an order*, simply log in to your store, mark your orders as complete, add tracking information and request a payment withdrawal. Once requested, payments will be automatically transferred into your nominated PayPal account within 24-48 hours (most times sooner). This means you get your money as soon as we pay you. The amount paid will be minus the payment processing fee along with any commission fees, transaction fees + admin fees.

* Please note that payment withdrawals for orders received on the basis of “pre-order” or “made to order” or “custom order” cannot be withdrawn until the order is complete and tracking information is provided to the purchaser.  If you require a withdrawal prior to this, please contact admin via [email protected] and we will make a decision on a case by case basis.

Who can sell on Spend With Us?

Spend With Us - Buy From A Bush Business marketplace is a platform for small businesses that:

  • have 20 employees or less AND
  • are located in a rural or regional area of Australia AND/OR
  • have been significantly affected by bushfire, drought or coronavirus (Covid-19).

( To be eligible to register on Spend With Us, we define rural and regional to be: your business address is NOT located within 50 kilometres from the outskirts of a major metropolitan city (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart or Darwin), or within 20 km of a town with a population greater than 100'000 )

Exceptions to this are any sellers from drought affected regions as classified by the Queensland government in the latest drought situation map and shire listing available to view here: https://www.longpaddock.qld.gov.au/drought/drought-declarations/

These currently include but are not limited to the following drought affected towns and regions:

  • Toowoomba
  • Townsville
  • Rockhampton
  • Ipswich
  • Gladstone
  • Sunshine Coast
  • Noosa

If your business does not meet the above criteria, but has been significantly affected by bushfires, please apply to join our Bushfire Support Plan and we will review your application.

How can I be paid for my orders?

All Spend With Us sellers are able to set up their own storefront and list products for free. To accept online payments all you need is a PayPal account. PayPal is a secure and instant way of buyers paying for their order. Before being able to be paid by PayPal, if you haven't already, you need to set up a PayPal account on the PayPal website, visit www.paypal.com.au for more information.

We want you to receive your money as quickly as possible. As soon as you receive notification of a sale from your Spend With Us store, you can withdraw the payment into your PayPal account. There is no need to wait.

Payment withdrawals are processed within 48 hours of request during our work week, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday AEST.

Spend With Us - Buy From a Bush Business Marketplace charges NO transaction or commission fees depending on your membership plan*, but we do pass on to sellers the payment processing fees charged per order by PayPal and our BNPL provider which will depend on payment method chosen by customer at checkout.

* VIP members have an 8% transaction fee on all orders. Essential Plan members have a 10% transaction fee on orders once a seller has made over $100 in sales.

What can I sell on Spend With Us?

Spend With Us allows any eligible small business in rural or regional Australia to list on their marketplace and directory. 

We allow home businesses, retail shops, service based businesses, accommodation or activities/event businesses and more.

Spend With Us - Buy From a Bush Business now have a liquor licence and can allow liquor based businesses to sell Alcoholic Beverages as long as they meet our terms and conditions.
